Gengo patch for WordPress 2.3.x

For whom it’s interesting, you can download patched by me Gengo for WordPress 2.3.x here.

The patch is still be not stable, because code of Gengo is quite complex, therefore it’s not trivial task to fix it, if you are not owner of code. Any way plese post me about any problems there and I will try to fix as far as I will have time for it.

Also I’d like to notice that patch was made without try to keep backward capability with earlier version of WordPress. It was “dirty” hack, purpose of which was only to make it working with my WordPress (v2.3.2). Any way you can post me about any problems.

And finally of course thanks a lot to author of this very well plugin.

    First of all, thanks for your effort!
    You forgot to add the “.rar” to the download link so clicking it results in a “File Not Found” currently.

    After installing and activating your fixed Gengo version on a brand-new WordPress 2.3.2 (German localization), I ended up with an error telling me I hadn’t the required access rights to show gengo/gengo_languages_page.php. The menu item “Language” however does work.

    In the beginning thank you for you notification for missed “.rar” extension!

    As I understand you have got error message at the end of installation process, but then it works, isn’t it?

    As I saw the leader of those works (pixline) supplies very systematic approach and other guys with him there have made a lot of work already. And now it requires quite effort for me to join with their team. In this case I have to spend quite time to investigation what they have already done. I’m afraid I don’t have much time to work with Gengo now. My tactic here it’s making to fix as fast as only possible and don’t worry about beauty of result code ;) For example this patch I wrote during one evening. But guys have been working since December last year. It’s long for me, I actually don’t have so much time for this. So I wish success for guys and of course if they will need any peaces from my patch code they can take it without problem.
